Nominator's project description
| Professor Hünefeldt is well known internationally for her outstanding research in Latin American and Peruvian History. She has made important contributions to our understanding of the daily life and popular culture of the working classes, women and slaves in nineteenth-century Peru. Professor Hünefeldt combines long-ranging archival research with an innovative research agenda. During her stay in Germany, she will do research on scientific expeditions to the Amazon Basin with a special focus on the nineteenth century. |
